Spinosaurus
The sail-backed aquatic predator larger than T. rex/Dinosaurs & Extinct Animals
Spinosaurus is the largest known carnivorous dinosaur, possibly exceeding even Tyrannosaurus rex in length. Living about 95 to 70 million years ago in North Africa, it sported a massive sail on its back formed by elongated neural spines, some reaching 1.65 meters tall. Recent research suggests Spinosaurus was semi-aquatic, using its paddle-like tail and dense bones to hunt fish in rivers. It is essentially what you would get if a crocodile and a sailfish had a 15-meter baby.
