Turkish Pide

A boat-shaped flatbread stuffed with cheese and meat/World Cuisines

Pide is a Turkish flatbread shaped like a canoe, filled with combinations of cheese, ground meat, egg, or vegetables. The dough is rolled into an oval, the edges folded up, and the whole thing baked in a stone oven. It is sometimes called 'Turkish pizza,' though the texture and technique differ entirely.
