The Winged Victory of Samothrace is a Hellenistic marble sculpture of the Greek goddess Nike (Victory) dating to about 190 BCE. It was discovered in pieces on the island of Samothrace in 1863. The figure stands on a marble ship prow with windswept drapery that is considered a masterpiece of ancient sculpture.
