Wind Turbine Blade

A fiberglass airfoil longer than a football field/Technology

Modern offshore wind turbine blades can exceed 100 m in length and are made of fiberglass-reinforced epoxy or polyester. Each blade is shaped as an airfoil that twists along its length to optimize aerodynamic efficiency. Three blades are mounted on a hub that can sit over 150 m above the ground or sea.
