Whale Shark

The world's largest fish that eats the world's smallest food/Marine Life

The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is the largest living fish species, reaching lengths of 12 meters or more, yet it feeds almost exclusively on plankton and small fish by filter feeding. Its mouth alone can be 1.5 meters wide. Despite their enormous size, they are gentle giants that pose no threat to humans. Each whale shark has a unique pattern of spots, like a fingerprint made of polka dots.
