Medieval War Hammer

The blunt weapon designed to defeat plate armor/Historical Weapons

The war hammer became prominent in the 14th and 15th centuries as plate armor grew thicker. One side featured a flat or slightly domed striking face, while the other had a pointed beak for penetrating armor. Unlike swords, war hammers could deliver concussive force through plate armor without needing to cut it.
