Human Trachea

The reinforced airway tube connecting your throat to your lungs/The Human Body

The trachea (windpipe) is a tube about 10 to 12 cm long reinforced by 16 to 20 C-shaped cartilage rings. It branches into two main bronchi at its lower end. The open side of each cartilage ring faces the esophagus, allowing it to expand when food passes.
