RMS Titanic

The 'unsinkable' ship that sank on its maiden voyage/Ships & Boats

The RMS Titanic was the largest ship afloat when it launched in 1912, a floating palace with a grand staircase, squash court, and Turkish bath. It struck an iceberg on April 14, 1912, and sank in under three hours, taking over 1,500 lives. The wreck sits 3,800 meters deep in the North Atlantic, which as it turns out is a much harder tourist destination to reach than anyone budgeted for.
