The 'Coathanger' that became Australia's most iconic bridge/Bridges & Tunnels

The Sydney Harbour Bridge opened in 1932 and is one of the most recognizable bridges in the world. Nicknamed 'The Coathanger' for its arch shape, it carries eight lanes of traffic, two railway lines, a cycleway, and a footpath across Sydney Harbour. It is the world's largest steel arch bridge by width and the sixth-longest spanning arch bridge. Tourists can climb to the top of the arch for spectacular views and spectacular vertigo.
