Stradivarius Violin

The most valuable musical instruments ever made/Musical Instruments

Antonio Stradivari made about 1,100 instruments in Cremona, Italy, between 1666 and 1737, of which about 650 survive. A Stradivarius violin weighs about 460 grams and has a body length of 35.5 cm. Scientists have spent centuries trying to explain their legendary sound quality, blaming everything from the wood's density to a mini ice age that affected tree growth.
