Dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India's first Deputy Prime Minister, the Statue of Unity stands at 240 meters including its base -- nearly twice the height of the Statue of Liberty including her pedestal. Completed in 2018, it used 1,850 tonnes of bronze cladding and took 2,500 workers roughly four years to build. There is an observation gallery at chest height, which is 153 meters up.
