Smaug

The greatest and last of the great fire-drakes of Middle-earth/Mythical & Fictional

Smaug is the fearsome dragon from Tolkien's The Hobbit who conquered the Lonely Mountain and hoarded its treasure for 171 years. Based on Tolkien's descriptions and Peter Jackson's film adaptations, Smaug has an estimated wingspan of 60 meters and a body length of roughly 40 meters. He is intelligent enough to hold a conversation, vain enough to be flattered, and just slightly too confident about the gap in his jewel-encrusted underbelly.
