Skateboard

The four-wheeled plank that launched a subculture/Transportation

A standard street skateboard consists of a seven-ply maple wood deck, two aluminum trucks, four polyurethane wheels, and eight bearings. A typical deck measures 78-84 cm long and 19-21 cm wide, with a concave shape, a kicked nose, and a kicked tail. Complete boards weigh about 2-3 kg. Originally called 'sidewalk surfing' in 1950s California, skateboarding has grown into a global sport and was included in the Olympic Games starting at Tokyo 2020.
