Polar Bear

The largest living land carnivore/Large Land Animals

The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is classified as a marine mammal because it depends on sea ice for survival, but it's very much a bear that will ruin your day on land too. Their fur isn't actually white; each strand is hollow and transparent, scattering light to appear white. Under that fur, their skin is black to absorb heat, and they can swim continuously for days in frigid Arctic waters.
