Parthenon

Athens' crown jewel of ancient Greek architecture/Ancient Structures

Built between 447 and 432 BCE, the Parthenon is a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. Its architects Ictinus and Callicrates incorporated subtle curves throughout -- no straight lines exist in the building, which corrects for optical illusions that would make it look warped. The British Museum has a lot of its sculptures, which is a sore subject in Greece.
