Olympic Swimming Pool (Water Volume)

2.5 million liters of precisely heated, filtered water/Sports

An Olympic swimming pool holds 2,500 cubic meters of water (2.5 million liters) maintained at 25-28 degrees Celsius. The pool is exactly 50 meters long, 25 meters wide, and at least 2 meters deep. The water must be clear enough that the black lane markings on the bottom are visible from the surface. Filling one from a garden hose would take about 18 days of continuous flow.
