Old Faithful
The world's most predictable geyser/Landforms
Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park has been erupting with remarkable regularity since at least 1870 when it was first documented by the Washburn Expedition. It erupts approximately every 90 minutes, shooting boiling water 30 to 55 meters into the air for 2 to 5 minutes. Each eruption expels between 14,000 and 32,000 liters of superheated water. It is not the tallest or most powerful geyser in Yellowstone, but it is the most famous because it shows up on time.
