Mount Etna

Europe's tallest and most active volcano/Volcanoes

Mount Etna on the east coast of Sicily is Europe's tallest active volcano and one of the most active in the world. Its summit height changes with each eruption, currently sitting around 3,357 meters. Etna has been erupting on and off for about 500,000 years, and the locals have adapted by growing excellent wine grapes in its mineral-rich volcanic soil.
