76 hot dogs in 10 minutes, and somehow not a medical event/Human Records & Feats
Joey Chestnut's 2021 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest record of 76 hot dogs (with buns) in 10 minutes remains one of competitive eating's most staggering achievements. That works out to roughly 6.25 kilograms of hot dogs consumed at a rate of 7.6 per minute. Each standard Nathan's hot dog with bun weighs about 82 grams and is roughly 18 centimeters long, meaning Chestnut consumed approximately 13.7 meters of hot dog in the time it takes most people to eat lunch. The human body was not designed for this, and yet here we are.
