Microwave Oven

The appliance that accidentally revolutionized cooking/Everyday Objects

The microwave oven was accidentally invented in 1945 when Percy Spencer noticed a chocolate bar melting in his pocket near a magnetron. A standard countertop model heats food by bombarding it with 2.45 GHz electromagnetic waves. It can boil water in two minutes but still cannot make a steak taste right.
