Kea

The world's only alpine parrot, and a notorious car vandal/Small Animals

The kea (Nestor notabilis) is the world's only truly alpine parrot, living in the mountains of New Zealand's South Island at elevations up to 2,000 meters. About 48 cm long and weighing roughly 900 grams, the kea is olive-green with brilliant orange underwings visible in flight. It is exceptionally intelligent and curious, with a well-documented habit of destroying car windshield wipers, rubber seals, and other vehicle parts. Kea have been observed solving complex multi-step puzzles in scientific studies.
