K2

The Savage Mountain/Mountains

K2 is the second-highest mountain on Earth and widely considered the most dangerous to climb. Sitting in the Karakoram range on the China-Pakistan border, it has a fatality rate of roughly one death for every four summits. Unlike Everest, there has never been a successful winter ascent without supplemental oxygen.
