Peering 13 billion years into the past/Scientific Objects

The Hubble Ultra Deep Field, captured in 2004, is the deepest visible-light image of the universe ever taken. It shows approximately 10,000 galaxies in a patch of sky just 3.4 arcminutes across (about 1/13th the diameter of the full Moon). The most distant objects in the image are seen as they were just 800 million years after the Big Bang. The total exposure time was over 11 days.
