The Hercules beetle (Dynastes hercules) can carry up to 850 times its own body weight, the equivalent of a human lifting 65 tons. Males sport an enormous horn that can exceed the length of their body, used in shoving matches with rivals. They are the longest beetles in the world, and their elytra can change color from green to black depending on humidity.
