Great Pyramid Stone Block (Average)

One of 2.3 million blocks in the Great Pyramid/Ancient Structures

The Great Pyramid of Giza contains approximately 2.3 million stone blocks, each averaging about 2.5 tonnes. The blocks were quarried, transported, and precisely placed without wheels, pulleys, or iron tools. The average block is roughly 1.3 meters on each side. The outermost casing stones were polished white limestone that made the pyramid gleam in the sun; most of these were stripped off centuries ago for building material.
