Golden Snitch

The tiny winged ball worth 150 points in Quidditch/Pop Culture

The Golden Snitch is the smallest ball used in the wizarding sport of Quidditch, described in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. It is walnut-sized with a diameter of about 2.5 cm and features delicate silver wings that allow it to fly at extreme speeds. The Snitch has flesh memory and remembers the first person to touch it. In official Quidditch rules, catching the Snitch ends the game and awards 150 points to the catching team's side.
