Giant Bamboo

The fastest-growing plant on Earth, and technically a grass/Plants

Giant bamboo (Dendrocalamus giganteus) is the largest species of bamboo and one of the fastest-growing plants on Earth. It can grow up to 1 meter per day under ideal conditions, which means you could theoretically watch it grow if you were patient enough. Despite being classified as a grass, mature culms can reach 30 meters tall and be strong enough to use as building scaffolding. It grows in dense clumps that can weigh several tonnes.
