Alexander Graham Bell's patent model that changed communication/Historical

Alexander Graham Bell's first practical telephone, demonstrated in 1876, was a simple device with a diaphragm, an electromagnet, and a liquid transmitter. The device that made the famous first call ('Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you') was roughly the size of a small box, about 23 cm tall and 15 cm wide. The original patent model is held at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
