Excalibur is the mythical sword of King Arthur in Arthurian legend. While its dimensions are never precisely stated in medieval texts, historical medieval longswords of the type Excalibur is usually depicted as measure roughly 1.1 m in total length with a blade of about 0.9 m. A high-quality medieval arming sword or longsword typically weighed between 1.1 and 1.8 kg. Excalibur is usually portrayed as a finely crafted hand-and-a-half sword with a cruciform hilt and a jeweled pommel.
