Eurostar e320

The high-speed train that dashes under the English Channel/Trains & Rail

The Eurostar e320 (Class 374), built by Siemens and based on the Velaro D platform, entered service in 2015 and is capable of 320 km/h (200 mph). Each 16-car set carries up to 900 passengers between London, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam. The train traverses the 50-kilometer Channel Tunnel in about 20 minutes, spending the rest of its journey on dedicated high-speed lines. The e320 replaced many of the original TGV-derived sets and features distributed power across the trainset rather than relying on separate power cars.
