The first general-purpose electronic computer/Technology

Completed in 1945, ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) filled an entire room, weighed 27 tonnes, and used 17,468 vacuum tubes. It could perform about 5,000 additions per second, which is roughly what a modern calculator does while feeling bored.
