Dragon Blood Tree

An alien-looking tree that bleeds red sap/Plants

The dragon blood tree (Dracaena cinnabari) is endemic to the Socotra archipelago off the coast of Yemen. Its dense, umbrella-shaped canopy can span 12 meters across, designed to collect moisture from fog and funnel it down to the roots. When the bark is cut, it exudes a dark red resin known as dragon's blood, used since ancient Roman times as a dye, medicine, and varnish. The tree can live for several hundred years and grows extremely slowly, reaching about 10 meters tall.
