Caspian Sea

The world's largest enclosed body of water, technically a lake/Water

The Caspian Sea is the world's largest enclosed inland body of water, bordered by five countries. Despite its name, it is technically a lake since it has no connection to the ocean, which causes occasional heated debates among geographers. It covers an area larger than Germany and holds about 78,200 cubic kilometers of slightly salty water. It is also home to most of the world's sturgeon, the fish responsible for caviar, giving it outsized economic importance.
