The 3,300-year-old painted limestone portrait of an Egyptian queen/Art & Sculpture

The bust of Nefertiti was created around 1345 BCE by the sculptor Thutmose and was discovered in his workshop in Amarna, Egypt in 1912. It is made of a limestone core with painted stucco layers. One eye contains an inlay of rock crystal, while the other eye socket is empty, possibly never completed.
