The 1989 Batmobile, designed by Anton Furst for Tim Burton's Batman, is one of the most iconic movie vehicles ever built. It was constructed on a Chevrolet Impala chassis and powered by a jet turbine engine. The car measured about 6.1 m long and 2.4 m wide, with a distinctive elongated nose and massive rear fins. Two road-worthy versions were built for the film, each weighing around 1,500 kg.
