Armadillo

A mammal in a suit of bony armor plates/Small Animals

Armadillos are mammals of the order Cingulata, characterized by their leathery armor shell made of bony plates called osteoderms. The nine-banded armadillo, the most widespread species, almost always gives birth to identical quadruplets from a single fertilized egg. The giant armadillo can weigh up to 54 kg and has more teeth than any other land mammal, with up to 100 small peg-like teeth. Only the three-banded armadillo can curl into a complete ball. They have poor eyesight but an excellent sense of smell.
