Angkor Wat

The world's largest religious monument/Ancient Structures

Angkor Wat was originally built as a Hindu temple for the Khmer Empire in the early 12th century and gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple. It is the world's largest religious monument, covering an area larger than Vatican City. The entire complex is surrounded by a moat 190 meters wide, because apparently ancient Cambodians were serious about their landscaping.
