The largest river by volume empties an ocean of its own/Water
The Amazon River discharges about 209,000 cubic meters of water per second into the Atlantic Ocean, roughly 20% of all river water reaching the oceans worldwide. Its discharge is greater than the next seven largest rivers combined. The freshwater plume extends up to 400 km into the Atlantic. During flood season, the river can be over 40 km wide in places.
