A Pint of Beer
473 milliliters of liquid courage served at precisely the right temperature/Food & Drinks
A US pint of beer is 473 milliliters (an Imperial pint is 568 mL, but we will not start that argument). It weighs about 480 grams, should be served at about 4°C (277 K) for a lager or 10-14°C for an ale, and contains roughly 600,000 joules of energy. Beer is one of the oldest beverages in human history, with evidence of brewing dating back to 3400 BCE in Iran. It may have been the reason humans invented agriculture in the first place.
